Bathroom mirror frames!!

Yay! I have been wanting to do this project for a while. It looks pretty easy and leaves a big change- those are my kind of projects! Jacob was a great help- aka, he did the project! My job was to occasionally hold a piece of wood up to help it set and keep the kids out of the way. I LOVE the way it looks. I'm very happy I went with the wider wood and large corner squares.

Here's a quick how to:
1. Beg your husband to let "you" do this easy project;)
2. Measure the mirrors, if you want a little overlap on the wall (which is what we did) add an inch or two
3. If you are cutting the wood straight across, you will need corner squares and therefore subtract the inches of two of them per side of mirror. If not, you can miter cut and meet in the corners. If you don't have your own saw, you can get the wood cut straight at the hardware store- Make sure you have EXACT measurements if doing it this way! (We have a small saw from when we did the flooring, we could do it ourselves- but thought it would be easier and liked the look of the squares..)
4. If you have thick old clips holding your mirror on, you can replace them with a thinner profiled one from the hardware store. Get Liquid Nails for mirrors. Glue the corner piece in the middle of the block and hold it firmly on the corner of the mirror. Put the glue in the middle of the molding piece of wood and hold on the mirror. Repeat for all four sides. We put some tape on the longer mirrors to help support it overnight.

Gluing the wood.                       The big chunky clips that were on the top of the mirrors.
Taped for support right after we put the glue on.

5. Touch up paint and caulk if necessary.
6. Admire your mirrors and your husband!

Here's some before and after pictures:

Boy, it's hard to take pictures of mirrors without being in them! Thinking up my next project now..
